A variation on The Number Studio classic slate house number plaques

These house numbers are made with the same attention to quality and detail as our classic slate number plaques. We use the same 1 cm thick top quality slate, carefully selected by our supplier from quarries in Italy and South America, and in the same 3 colours - classic black, elegant warm grey or muted purple. But here we add a second smaller plaque on top of the first. The result is similar to the slate & stone house number plaques, giving a chunkier look. We don't however mix the slate colours as the result is far more harmonious using a single colour.
We carefully stencil the house numbers using a long life primer topped with 2 – 3 coats of top quality exterior paint in a pale grey colour to complement your chosen slate.

There is a choice of 6 great type-faces for your number plaque. Choose elegant ‘zapfino’, chunky ‘insignia’ or fun ‘richard’. Or the classic 'handle old style', exotic 'braganza', or our latest type-face 'matrix script'.

Installation of your Number Studio house number

We bond the 2 layers of slate of your number plaque together using a tough exterior adhesive and we glue in the invisible fixings. These are are long enough to accommodate uneven surfaces such as a stone wall.
Installation is simple. All you need is a drill with 9 mm masonry bit, a measure or spirit level to check that the plaque is horizontal and some exterior masonry adhesive. Full instructions are supplied with every house number.


If you prefer the house number plaque can be drilled for fixing and supplied with stainless steel screws and wall plugs.
To install a number plaque with screw fixings you will need a pencil, a measure or spirit level, a drill and a screwdriver.
Place your house number in position checking that it is horizontal and mark through the screw holes. Drill your holes, insert your wall plugs and screw your number plaque in place taking care not to over tighten the screws.
