We offer you a choice of 3 slate colours for your plaque: classic black, soft dark grey or muted purple. The oak is tinted a dark taupe colour followed by 2 coats of translucent pale grey exterior grade wood sealer for long term protection. The two materials of your house name are permanently bonded together with an all weather long life adhesive.
On offer for the Number Studio name plaques is a choice of 6 lettering styles ranging from classic uppercase serif typefaces through to script and modern handwriting styles. We prepare the lettering for your house name with great care. The name is stencilled onto the plaque using a professional primer coat. This is followed by 2 topcoats of hard wearing exterior paint in a soft pale grey colour to compliment the dark slate and tinted oak of the sign.
The house name can be arranged in a circle for an additional cost. We can also add the house number in the centre of your plaque or you can choose from our selection of motifs to decorate the centre or embellish the text.
Not every style of lettering is suitable for every house name when laid out in a circle so we will suggest alternatives if this is the case. Upper case lettering is the most successful for house plaques with circular lettering but lower case can be fun too. Just check that your words don’t have too many ascenders and descenders (d, t, g, p etc), and bear in mind that hand written styles like inkburrow and zapfino will form an irregular circle. The Number Studio house plaques with circular lettering are very simple to install. All you need is a drill with 8 mm masonry bit, a measure or spirit level to check that the plaque is horizontal, and some exterior masonry adhesive. Full instructions are supplied with every house sign.
